well, nescatunga art festival was last weekend....i did not do as well as i would have liked. i had a constant flow of people, many very nice comments, lots of lookers...but hardly any buyers. i enjoyed talking to people about my work but i really wanted to sell a lot, so i could get more kits and start again. so, now, i need to explore other ways to sell the ones i have so i can make more. hubby has been taking the pens to work and he sold several last week. he took more pens and the keyrings this week.

anyways, i'm working on an etsy shop. i'll let everyone know when i get something listed.

ya know...it even crossed my mind to stop claying, but my hands miss it too much. i haven't played clay in a week and, well, it's all i can think about.

i've learned a new cane. it took me most of the afternoon to do it, but it turned out pretty well. i'll be covering lots of stuff, since this cane is huge. now, my brain is building new canes in my head. fish and butterfly canes don't sound so hard anymore.

i've made some new ones. i'm getting ready for a large art festival just less than 2 months away. i need as many as i can make. i've used different types of canes. this one is a kaliedoscope cane. i've also used ikat canes and klimt canes. i made 3 different types of kaleidoscopes too.
i also made several pens and flashlight keyrings...still need to sand, glaze and assemble those.....

i totally love making polymer clay canes...i could spend the whole day making them and never tire of it. there are so many different types of canes. flowers, leaves, spider web,geometric designs, kaliedoscope canes and the list goes on i'm sure. i've been making canes and using them to cover things for almost a year. the possibilities are endless, only limited by imagination. i've just started making kaliedoscope canes a few days ago..thought they looked to difficult to try....not hard at all. i'll be making more..... also need to get ready for the county fair, have to make a figure....gonna make a cane covered cat.

today is sunday...i do love sundays. sunday is my clay day. today i'm working on canes to cover kaliedoscopes. i've always loved them and they are fun to make,even thought i've only done one so far. i see the mistakes i made on the first one....so the next ones can only be better, right? the canes i'm making are all flowers, so far. i want to do a kaliedoscope cane like sarah shriver does...her canes are beautiful. absolutly beautiful. i'll need more than just one day off to get my canes to look like hers...lol
